Introduction

The Corporate Relations and Marketing (CR & M) Department is a functional unit in the Division of Corporate Services. The Department is headed by a Director who reports to the Deputy Vice Chancellor Corporate Services. The Department is only found at Headquarters though there are functions delegated to the regional campuses.

The Department is responsible for your satisfaction in your dealings with the University. It is responsible for the image of the institution in all respects.

Responsibilities and operations of the Department

The Department of CR and M is responsible for the activities listed below. However, these are inclusive of other responsibilities that the Department may be assigned.

      • Promotes effective & efficient internal and external communication
      • Handles all complaints and enquiries at the institutional level and escalates accordingly where necessary.
      • Responsible for marketing the University programmes and services
      • Manages the Botswana Open University brand
