The University has Internal Audit unit. The unit reports functionally to Council and administratively to the Vice Chancellor. The primary function of Internal Audit is to assist management in the effective discharge of their responsibilities. Internal Audit`s role include monitoring, assessing, and analyzing controls; and reviewing and confirming information and compliance with policies, procedures, and laws. Working in partnership with management, Internal Audit provides assurance to Council, Audit Risk and Compliance Committee, and Executive Management that internal controls are in place and that the University’s corporate governance is strong and effective.

Internal Audit reports on significant audit findings to the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee on a quarterly basis.
