School of Social Sciences

In line with the BOU General Academic Regulations as informed by the BQA regulation on level 9 studies, this Masters is a two- year programme that the BOU offers from the Environmental studies Department. This applied programme of Study aims to develop and increase the number of Practitioners in a Social Sciences sub field which is at the cutting edge of the UN Sustainable Development agenda. The school of social Sciences offers this programme based on the realisation that education is a key lever for pursuit of the SDGs. Therefore education is necessary for building the necessary knowledge and skills to understand this global phenomenon and to effectively facilitate the fight against it and its very complex set of global consequences for health, agriculture and food security, socio-economic development and the desired quality of life.
