Kang Campus

Kang Regional Campus is situated in Kang village within the Kgalagadi North District. It operates from Matsha Lifelong Learning Centre in Gamonyamane Ward and serves as an administrative hub for all BOU students enrolled in both Open Schooling and Tertiary programmes.

The mandate of the Region is to provide BOU services to enable distance and lifelong learning through the ODL system to the community supported by the Region across the Districts. The specific services offered are mainly the student support services such as support for application for programmes, enrollments and registrations for both Open Schooling and Tertiary programmes, support for examination registration and writing of the examinations for OS students and general administrative support to ensure that the students receive quality service throughout their period of study. The other service is marketing and branding the BOU programmes and lastly the Region engages in various stakeholder activities to make the Region/BOU to be more visible in its whole catchment areas.

Geographical coverage of the region

The Region provides its educational services to 6 Districts namely, Kgalagadi North District, Kgalagadi South District, Mabutsane Districts, Letlhakeng District, Charles hill District and Gantsi District. The Region is unique countrywide for providing service to quite a number of settlement/remote areas where the marginalised communities resides in the whole of Kgalagadi areas.
