School of Business & Management Studies
Welcome to the School of Business and Management Studies (SOBMS) at the Botswana Open University. School of Business and Management Studies is one of the four school that currently existing within the Botswana Open University. The school has two departments, namely: Business and Management. All the SOBMS academic departments are housed at the University’s headquarters in Gaborone.
SOBMS mandate is to provide access to high quality education and training with programmes ranging from certificate, diploma, undergraduate to postgraduate levels. SOBMS also aims at providing continued high quality training in the Business and Management fields, to up-skill serving employees and trainers, as well as ODL practitioners, in partnership with government and private sector employees in Botswana and across the SADC region.
The SOBMS team has adopted innovative technology enhanced open and distance learning ODL approaches and mechanisms for the delivery of its programmes, with the aim of ensuring effective facilitation of teaching and learning.
