Commonwealth Executive Masters in Public Administration

This two-year Masters programme is delivered from the Department of Public Administration for those who meet the entry requirements for studies at graduate level which is a first degree in this sub field of the Social sciences or its cognate areas.

Course Content

The EMPA stream offers the following core courses on a shared basis with CEMBA

  • Managing Information Systems
  • Management in Organisations
  • Managing Human Resources
  • Operations Management
  • Economic Environment of Business
  • Public Systems Management
  • Quantitative Techniques
  • Marketing Management
  • Accounting and Finance

Each stream of the two streams has two (2) specialist compulsory courses. For the CEMPA stream, the Specialist Compulsory Courses are:

  1. Public Policy
  2. Development Planning and Administration
