Ethics and Integrity:
Initiates development of policies and other instruments, as well as processes that are to ensure adherence to ethical principles and practices, and integrity in the conduct of research.

University Research Ethics Committee, School Research Ethics Committee

Grants Management:
Provides support, guidance, and advice to staff throughout the full life cycle of grants from pre-award to post-award to completion of the funded projects and closeout. Pre- award services avail funding opportunities and facilitate researchers in grant development followed by the administrative processes of submission of the application. Post-award follows the acquisition of a grant, and the start of contract/agreement management after the signing, to support compliance with conditions and requirements.

Intellectual Property Management and Commercialisation:
Identifies potential Intellectual Property (IP) from research proposals and other creative and innovative works to ensure that it is legally protected, followed by its evaluation and exploitation in terms creating product and services.

Partnerships and Internationalisation: Coordinates the establishment and management of strategic and mutually beneficial partnerships/collaborations, risk assessment and management, and internationalization of the University.
